Based on the commercially and critically successful franchise of the same name, Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire is a massively multiplayer online strategy game for mobile devices.

Released in summer 2017, the game was downloaded over 20 million times during its first 3 months and has generated over $58 million in the first year alone.

I worked as a graphic designer on the project, creating ad layouts for dozens of international campaigns.  My contributions included everything from 2D/3D design, animation, typography, composition and layout.

These siege weapons were created in 3D Studio Max for use in a playable mini-game.

Below are a few examples of the advertising campaigns that I created for the game. Since the ads ran globally, I learned a lot about the efficacy of design choices, color palettes and typography when pitching to different geographic locales with diverse tastes and interests.

For each campaign, we would typically create a static copy of the ad, as well as a simple animated version. Since the animated ads were displayed as .gifs, keeping the frame count low was key, since we had very specific and stringent file size limitations.
